EctoScan’s surface scanning initiative targets two market categories, All-Consumer and the Health Care Industry. The driving technologies are split into two platforms: 1) The EctoApp Mobile App 2) The EctoScan Stand-Alone.
EctoScan’s technology comprises two platforms, a stand-alone device and smartphone app (for iPhones and Androids), that allows all consumers and healthcare professionals to quantitatively and accurately measure, evaluate, and track changes of surface related conditions in many market segments. The key differences between the two platforms are that the Stand-Alone measures color, temperature, and contour while the phone app measures color and contour. However, with a phone attachment that we will offer later, the app with be able to measure temperature. An additional difference relative to the App is that the Stand-Alone is a device that must be purchased and is designed to address specific challenges in the Health & Wellness market segments, like ergonomics, hygiene, and patient-clinician safety.
